As the founder and CEO of Brandon Blackwood New York, he recognizes the importance of creating a pipeline for entrepreneurial, professional, and personal success for persons of color, especially creatives. In 2020, Brandon launched the End Systemic Racism (ESR) tote in response to the demand for social and civil rights justice.
Raised in a family which instilled the value that true legacy is one's service to humanity, Brandon's vision of the Foundation is to help creatives achieve positive outcomes and persons of color pay it forward by improving the world.

- Apple Leather
- Apple leather is a bio-based material made from the leftover pomace and peels from the fruit juice and compote industries. Unusable apple seeds, stalks, and skins are crushed and dehydrated naturally into a fine powder. This powder is mixed with a resin binder and then laid flat to form the final material. Each bag is made up of at least 50% apples, corn, cactus, and other bio-based materials. This allows leftover fruits and vegetables to be incorporated into the bag you are receiving today.
- About Recycled Leather
- Recycled leather is a hybrid of real and vegan leather. It's made with genuine and vegan leather scarps from our Brandon Blackwood NYC handbags. They are mixed with a binder to form a single fabric, which is then rolled and bonded to a paper backing. It has the look and feel of genuine leather while being made entirely of discarded materials. This allows us to produce our main collections with no leather waste.
- About Recycled Canvas
- Recycled canvas is created by combining pre- and post-consumer denim textiles that would otherwise be disposed of in a landfill. We source clothing, handbag, and textile scraps to repurpose them into new canvas. Threads from the fabric are separated and spun into yarn before being woven into recycled canvas fabric.

WHAT IS A PRE-ORDER?
A pre-order gives you the opportunity to buy an item that will become available at a later date.
WHEN WILL MY PRE-ORDER BE CHARGED?
The full amount will be charged via your selected payment method once the order is placed. It is not possible to modify the payment method after it has been processed.
Pre-orders are made to order and cannot be cancelled once placed. However, pre-orders are eligible for refunds within 90 days from the order date. After 90 days, refunds to the original payment method are no longer available, and any approved cancellation or return will be issued as store credit for the purchase amount.

Estimated production and shipping timelines are listed on the product page and in your order confirmation email. All timelines are estimates only and may vary depending on production schedules or shipping logistics.
REFUNDS FOR MADE-TO-ORDER ITEMS
Made-to-order items can be refunded within 30 days from the order date, even if the item has not yet shipped. After this 30-day window, refunds to the original payment method are no longer available. Any approved refund requests after this period will be issued as store credit for the purchase amount.

- What is my order shipped in?
We're always looking for ways to improve both your experience and our impact. Due to rising tariffs and increased costs, we've made the decision to phase out our separate gift boxes. Going forward, all new collections and product drops will arrive in our newly designed, branded shipping boxes.
Some existing inventory may still include our previous gift boxes, but over time these will be fully phased out. This change allows us to focus on what matters most: keeping the quality of our bags at the highest level, while also reducing excess packaging and waste. Most importantly, it ensures that we can continue offering our products at the same price, without compromising on craftsmanship.
- Do you provide shipping insurance? What is Route?
We've partnered with Route—a package protection and tracking solution—to give our customers the best possible delivery experience. Route provides low-cost shipping protection to protect your package in the event that it gets lost, stolen, or damaged while in transit.
Green Package Protection is automatically added to your cart during checkout. For 2% of your purchase price, this carbon neutral service protects your order if it is lost, stolen, or damaged while in transit. Route donates a portion of each shipment to agroforestry initiatives that remove CO₂ from the air and promote a flourishing ecosystem.
